A New Location

I moved this blog here because it turns out that Wordpress can do a lot of cool things with blogs that Blogger either can't do, or I can't figure out how to make it do them. It still needs work, but I will have it all up to date ASAP.

The wedding pictures didn't migrate to the new blog well, so I left those posts up here.

These pictures can be seen much larger by simply clicking on them, but just in case. I'm putting names for everyone, since describing each person for those who don't know them would take too long, but feel free to direct any specific inquiries to my comments section.

Pictures

I was planning to use the previous blog to post some pictures, so I'm going to move them over to this one, including that captions I put on the other blog...

Okay, so maybe this shouldn't be the first picture of my wedding, but it's funny to me, because there's a story that goes with this one.

As you can see, this is me and Kristin, about to exit the Mount Timpanogos Temple lobby, where our friends and family await to greet us and take pictures with us. It's hard to see her in this picture, but that's Alexa that I'm whispering to. If you look closely, you'll see that I'm wearing my sunglasses. As you probably have noticed, I rarely go anywhere during daylight hours without them. My mother, however, has been after me for years (and rightly so, I suppose) for wearing them in pictures.

So what I was whispering to Alexa was that she shouldn't say anything about the sunglasses (She's helpful that way. Without my warning, she would likely have been the first to tell me to take them off.) because it would be funny to see whether Kristin or my mom would tell me to take them off first.

It never came to that, though, because my aunt Melanie said it the second I walked out the door. As you can see in the next picture, I took them off almost immediately...

The New New Blog

So I started a blog a while ago (in December), but I was still sort of in the mindset of being alone, even though I had been married for almost 2 months at that point. Don't misunderstand: I'm am 100% on board with being married. I've never been happier in my life. There is nothing that happened in the first 32 years of my life that would ever have led me to believe it was possible to be as happy as I am with Kristin.

Anyway, the point of this first entry is to admit the error of my ways. Because I was still used to having been alone for a long time, when I created a new blog, I named it jabewashburn.blogspot.com. Kristin was deeply offended (and rightly so), so I have remedied that problem with this new blog. I don't know that I'll ever really do anything worthwhile with it, but here it is just the same...
